We continue to be amazed at the varied uses our customers have been finding for our bikes. Originally launched as a bike to cart kids, we’ve had customers buy bikes to transport dogs, laundry, newspapers, elderly adults and special needs big kids. We’re loving the creative uses of these versatile bikes! We’re excited to launch an accessory to further make Tribe Bikes more versatile, the Front Door.
The front door was originally requested by some early customers to transport their large dogs. Picking up a 40kg dog and getting them over the side of the bike is a challenge, so a door was the answer. Whilst dogs are one of the use cases we’re sure there’s other creative uses our customers will find, even if it’s just a way for their kids to more easily get in and out of the bike (although part of the fun for our kids is climbing over the sides!).
With the front door added to the bike, the front bench must be removed, reducing the capacity from 4 to 2 kids. Removing the front bench adds a huge amount of storage space to the front of the bike, or comfortably fits a couple of large dogs. If purchased with your bike we can add the front door for you, and also provide the original front panels and bench, so you can quickly convert your bike back to a 4 seater when needed (with just a couple of tools).
